We can advise you on who your best choices are to write a letter to the judge and how to word these letters to highlight the best aspects of your life. The key is quality not quantity as the judge is not interested in and will not read 100 letters and submiting too many may actually have a negative effect.
We will advocate on your behalf to be placed at a facility that is closest to your home or community. Often times the Bureau of Prisons will assign you to a facility hundreds or even thousands of miles from your family. They are not bound by a judges recommendation and often ignore their requests. Being proactive as soon as you know where you are going will often give you the desired result.

It is important to understand the BOP's guidelines for halfway house and home confinement placement. The BOP has specific rules on when and how inmates qualify. The eligibility for halfway house placement (also called Residential Reentry Centers or RRCs) is generally governed by 18 U.S. Code § 3624(c), which allows the BOP to place inmates in a halfway house for the final portion of their sentence, with the maximum allowed time being up to 12 months for certain inmates.
