Pre Sentence Reports
The single most important document prepared by probation. The judge will use this report to help determine your sentence. The PSR follows you and is a road map for the Bureau of Prisons that can help or hurt you. We offer coaching and input for your PSR/PSI interview so that you don't leave out critical information that could result in a lower sentence.
Character Reference Letters
Submitting quality character reference letters will show the judge the person you really are. We can advise you on who your best choices are to write a letter to the judge and how to word these letters to highlight the best aspects of your life. The key is quality not quantity as the judge is not interested in and will not read 100 letters and submiting too many may actually have a negative effect.
Designation Closer to Home
We will advocate on your behalf to be placed at a facility that is closest to your home or community. Often times the Bureau of Prisons will assign you to a facility hundreds or even thousands of miles from your family. They are not bound by a judges recommendation and often ignore their requests. Being proactive as soon as you know where you are going will often give you the desired result.
Reduce Your Sentence
If you qualify for the Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) you can receive up to 12 months off your sentence and 6 months of half way house. We offer preparation for acceptance and completing the RDAP program. If you have an alcohol, prescription drug or cannabis abuse problem you may also be qualified.
First Step Act Time Credits
The First Step Act will give many justice impacted people up to 15 days time credit for every 30 days served. This can result in up to a full year off your sentence. Additional credits earned over 1 year can be applied to halfway house time or home confinement. Our experts will give you the best case scenario for when you can expect to complete your sentence.

Halfway House / Home Confinement
It is important to understand the BOP's guidelines for halfway house and home confinement placement. The BOP has specific rules on when and how inmates qualify. The eligibility for halfway house placement (also called Residential Reentry Centers or RRCs) is generally governed by 18 U.S. Code § 3624(c), which allows the BOP to place inmates in a halfway house for the final portion of their sentence, with the maximum allowed time being up to 12 months for certain inmates.
